ANO is a political movement in the Czech Republic. Its chairman is Prime Minister Andrej Babiš [1]. The movement's candidate for mayor of Prague is Jan Hušbauer [1].

The billboard near Kačerov

The movement had an election billboard with the likeness of Jan Hušbauer placed near Kačerov in Prague [1]. On the morning of 30 September 2026, activists of the environmental organisation Greenpeace covered the billboard with a banner showing Foreign Minister and Motorists chairman Petr Macinka, Motorists MP Filip Turek and Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, with the slogan "The Motorists harm nature, don't be their puppet" [1][2][3]. In a press release, Greenpeace said it wanted the message to prompt Babiš to ensure expert leadership of the Ministry of the Environment, which, according to the organisation, under the Motorists' leadership is losing the funds needed to protect nature [1].

The movement's reaction

Babiš, through Martin Vodička, head of the communications department of the Government Office, told ČTK that he does not consider flooding an e-mail inbox, covering a paid-for billboard and sending an "arrogant and aggressive" text message to be a suitable way to start communication [1][2][3]. Jan Hušbauer, whose billboard was covered, said that the Greenpeace action was not aimed at the government but at a specific billboard, and compared the organisation's conduct to vandalism [1][2][3]. According to him, Prague is threatened by a government of a "political offshoot" of Greenpeace, which he called the Greens with Praha Sobě [1][2][3].
