ODS candidates won in seven districts in the second round of the Senate elections; party chairman Martin Kupka called the result a success.

Nine ODS candidates advanced to the second round of the 2026 Senate elections, and seven of them won. The senators Zdeněk Papoušek in Brno, Ondřej Šimetka in Ostrava and Tomáš Goláň in Zlín defended their seats. Also elected were Ladislav Med, mayor of Pelhřimov, Jakub Navařík, a Přerov councillor, Petr Paták, head of a secondary school in Kladno, and the businesswoman Zuzana Ceralová Petrofová. Paták defeated the incumbent senator Adéla Šípová (Czech Pirate Party), and Ceralová Petrofová defeated Martin Dvořák of STAN in Hradec Králové.[1]
Two candidates lost: Radko Sáblík lost in Smíchov, Prague, to the incumbent senator Václav Láska, and the opera singer Dagmar Pecková lost in Prague 9 to the incumbent senator David Smoljak (STAN).[1][2]
ODS chairman Martin Kupka called the result an unequivocal success. He said that ODS had gained the most among the parties represented in the upper house and stressed that ANO has no representative among those elected. According to Kupka, the joint caucus of ODS and TOP 09 will be the strongest and will propose Miloš Vystrčil for President of the Senate of the Czech Republic.[1][2]
Vystrčil said that if he receives the nomination for President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, he is ready to accept it. In his view, those elected include people with great life experience.[1]
