Smíchov is a city district on the left bank of the Vltava, part of Prague 5. The police are investigating the case as damage to another person’s property and have released camera footage showing the perpetrator; the company that owns the car is offering a reward of 500,000 crowns or a gold watch for information leading to his capture. [6] On 10 September 2026 an unknown perpetrator in Na Valentince street doused a luxury car with an unidentified substance and set it on fire. [5] The southern part of the bridge is to receive a new steel structure after Správa železnic removed the original one in January 2026; the northern part was replaced in 2025. [4] The closure affects tram lines 5, 12, 15, 20, 21 and 94, with replacement buses and temporary lines of the Prague Public Transit Company providing service. [4] From 3 October 2026 to 18 October a tram closure is in force in Smíchov between the Na Knížecí and Smíchovské nádraží stops because of the last phase of the reconstruction of the railway bridge over Nádražní street.
