According to Czech News Agency reporting from October 2026, TOP 09 is among the opposition parties. Its chairman is Matěj Ondřej Havel, who is running in the 2026 municipal elections in Hradec Králové.[1]
Czech Television announced on 6 October 2026 that Havel would not appear in the final pre-election Superdebata, because he is a candidate and Czech Television's rules do not allow candidates to take part. Havel was among the party leaders who had asked the broadcaster to allow their participation.[1]
