Petr Paták is the head of a secondary school in Kladno and the ODS candidate in the 2026 Senate elections in district no. 30 Kladno.[1]

In the first round Paták won 29.44 per cent of the vote. The incumbent senator Adéla Sucharda Šípová, running for the coalition of the Czech Pirate Party, STAN, TOP 09, the Greens and SEN 21, won 30.8 per cent. Turnout was 42.14 per cent and six people ran.[1] Aleš Gerloch (ANO) finished third and did not advance.[3] In the second round Paták will face Sucharda Šípová.[1][2] The course of the contest is described in the article Souboj Suchardy Šípové a Patáka o Senát v obvodu Kladno 2026.
