Tomáš Goláň is an ODS senator in Senate district No. 78 Zlín.[2] The district includes the city of Zlín, part of Zlín District and some municipalities in the south of the Vsetín area.[4]

In the October 2026 Senate elections he defended his seat and, according to calculations by the Czech News Agency, advanced from the first round to the second, in which he will face Ivo Mitáček, running for STAN.[2][3] According to iDNES.cz, he clearly led in the first round.[4]

On 8 October 2026 he held the closing event of his campaign at Náměstí Práce square in Zlín.[5]
