Tomáš Třetina is a senator for TOP 09 in the Znojmo district and a former mayor of Moravský Krumlov.[1] In 2020 he defeated Jan Grois, then mayor of Znojmo, in the second round of the election.[2]
In the Senate elections in October 2026 he defended his seat. According to Czech News Agency projections, with more than 96 percent of the votes counted he had 35.51 percent, with Jiří Kyněra (ANO) second on 22.42 percent, and the two candidates will face each other in the second round.[3] Six candidates ran and turnout exceeded 45 percent.[3] Třetina told the Czech News Agency that the result is an honour for him and confirms that his programme works.[3]
