Prague 8 is a district of the Capital City of Prague.[1][2] It has long cooperated with Klokánek, a facility of the Fund for Endangered Children, as Deputy Mayor Radomír Nepil (ANO) said.[1][2]
Houses for Klokánek
The district owns two houses into which Klokánek is to move from premises in a school building on Chabařovická Street.[2] The town hall handed over the first renovated house on 6 October 2026; according to Nepil, the renovation took about a year and cost about eight million crowns.[1][2] The second house is to be handed over by the end of 2026.[1][2] The first house will have three apartments, the second two.[1][2]
Hanka Kupková, chair of the Fund for Endangered Children, said that the two houses will together shelter 20 children and that, thanks to Prague 8, the capacity will increase by one apartment, that is, by four places.[1][2] Each apartment is to house at most four children and one caregiver.[1][2]
