The Czech National Bank (ČNB) grants licences to investment companies. At the beginning of October 2026, the PPF group announced that a new investment company, Arvum, had obtained such a licence; it is to prepare investment funds for clients of Air Bank and PPF banka.[1] According to the E15 website, the group's plan was approved by the ČNB, and the licence is a precondition for the approval of individual funds, which the regulator must assess separately.[2]
In October 2026, when presenting the Economic Freedom of the World ranking, Martin Pánek, director of the Institut liberálních studií, said that the largest part of the Czech Republic's improvement consisted of sound money, i.e. the result of lower inflation, for which he credited the Czech National Bank.[3]
