Air Bank is a bank belonging to the PPF group which provides banking services in Czechia through its own digital app. Together with PPF banka it manages the accounts of roughly two million clients, according to figures cited by the daily E15 [2].

Offering of investment funds

In October 2026 the PPF group announced that it had obtained from the Czech National Bank a licence for a new investment company named Arvum [1]. It is to prepare investment funds intended for clients of Air Bank and PPF banka [1][2]. According to PPF, the Czech National Bank's licence is a necessary precondition for the approval of individual funds and their subsequent launch on the market [1]. The company is to describe the specific product offering in the coming months [1][2].

According to Leoš Rousek, director of corporate communications of the PPF group, regulation allows funds to be launched only after approval of individual products, so the company does not yet want to comment on details of the offering [2]. Jana Brodani, executive director of the Capital Market Association AKAT ČR, said that thanks to the Air Bank and PPF banka apps PPF can offer investments directly to its clients, without targeting the wider public [2].

Management of Arvum

Michal Semotan chairs the board of Arvum and Patrik Hudec is a board member; both previously worked as portfolio managers on the Czech capital market [1][2]. Semotan previously worked in the J&T group [2]. According to Semotan, Arvum is to offer "clear investment solutions based on active management and long-term value creation" [1]. Hudec said that the company wants to "seek investment opportunities across markets and asset classes over the long term" [1].

The PPF group

Air Bank is part of the PPF group, a private international investment holding operating in 25 countries of Europe, North America and Asia [1]. The group invests in telecommunications, media, financial services, real estate, e-commerce, industry and biotechnology, owns assets worth EUR 42.6 billion and employs about 37,000 people [1].
