The winning ANO movement agreed on 11 October 2026 on a coalition in Plzeň with its existing partners, the Pro Plzeň grouping, which ran with KDU-ČSL members, and the STAN movement. This was announced at a briefing by the ANO leader and incumbent mayor Roman Zarzycký. The parties signed a memorandum and want to conclude a coalition agreement within a week.[1][2]

Composition of the city executive board

In the nine-member city executive board, ANO is to have five seats and a majority, STAN three, and Pro Plzeň with KDU-ČSL members one. Zarzycký is to remain mayor, and the STAN leader Aleš Tolar is to become first deputy mayor. The new coalition will have 34 of 47 seats.[1]

Election result and the existing coalition

ANO won 18 seats, having had 15 until now. STAN has ten councillors instead of the previous four, ODS eight, and Pro Plzeň with KDU-ČSL members six, up from five. The Chceme Plzeň grouping, in which TOP 09 joined forces with the Greens and independents, won five seats. The Czech Pirate Party and SPD did not make it onto the council. The existing coalition consisted of ANO, STAN, the Pirates and Pro Plzeň with 28 seats.[1][2]

Before the agreement, Zarzycký said that ANO now governed Plzeň for the first time and that he wanted a coalition that would last four years. He did not rule out an agreement with ODS. Among other unfinished tasks he named the swimming pool project.[2]
