All 34 assembly members for ANO, STAN and Pro Plzeň, with the support of the Christian Democrats, signed a coalition agreement in Plzeň. The three parties hold a majority in the 47-member assembly. The coalition from the previous term thus continues, without the Pirates, who did not make it into the assembly this time. The parties had already agreed on cooperation over the election weekend and signed a memorandum. The previous coalition had 28 votes.

Roman Zarzycký of ANO is to remain mayor, Aleš Tolar of STAN is to become first deputy mayor and Tomáš Morávek of Pro Plzeň another deputy mayor. The coalition was to publish the names of the other councillors in the week of the signing. The number of councillors is to be reduced from eleven to nine, with five seats going to ANO, three to STAN and one to Pro Plzeň. The number of the council's advisory commissions will fall from 13 to 11. According to Zarzycký, the inaugural meeting of the assembly is to take place in the first week of November.

In the municipal elections, ANO won 31.69 percent of the votes and 18 seats, STAN ten, ODS eight, Pro Plzeň/KDU-ČSL six and Chceme Plzeň, an alliance of TOP 09, the Greens and independents, five. Turnout was 41.74 percent. ODS and Chceme Plzeň will be in opposition. According to Zarzycký, the coalition's priorities include continuing the revitalisation of náměstí Republiky and building a water supply and sewerage in Výsluní.
