On 10 October 2026 the movement Motoristé sobě did not admit some media outlets to its election headquarters in Hartigovský palác in Prague. According to the Czech News Agency, these were Deník N and the weekly Respekt.[1] The movement’s chairman and Foreign Minister Petr Macinka told the Czech News Agency on arrival that capacity was the reason. “I don’t know, I didn’t organise it, but it is for capacity reasons,” he said.[1][2]

Deník N said it had asked the Motoristé spokesman Lukáš Koutník for accreditation on Friday 2 October 2026. According to the paper, the spokesman did not respond for several days and, after a reminder by phone in the middle of the following week, said the request could not be granted.[1][2] According to the Czech News Agency, representatives of Deník N had also been unable to attend an earlier briefing by Macinka.[1]

A reporter from Novinky.cz said there was enough room and there were free chairs in the area designated for the media at the headquarters.[2] Macinka arrived at the headquarters shortly after 3 p.m. Asked what he would regard as an election success, he said the movement was not defending any mandate in the local elections and would watch the places where it managed to enter municipal councils.[1][2]
