In Senate district no. 12 (Strakonice), the incumbent senator Tomáš Fiala (Naše Česko) led in the interim results of the first round with more than 58 per cent of the vote after over 75 per cent of polling districts had been counted. Miroslav Ušatý (Svobodní) had just under 23 per cent and Jana Hrdinová (KDU-ČSL) just under 20 per cent.[1][2] The interim results were published by the media on 10 October 2026. [1]

Senator Zbyněk Sýkora, speaking at the Naše Česko headquarters in České Budějovice, called the interim result a first swallow and said that the movement approached it with humility. Sýkora added that the movement hoped the result would be confirmed by the end of the count but did not want to tempt fate. [1] According to him, the movement's priority is its own Senate caucus; if it does not obtain one, it admits the possibility of enlarging an existing caucus.[1][2] Sýkora added that Naše Česko does not want to remain unaffiliated in the Senate and that the final shape of the caucus is to be discussed only after the elections. [1]

The movement's leader Martin Kuba said that the movement could have had its first successfully defended Senate seat.[1][2]
