Two Czech citizens died in a road accident in the US state of Wyoming, and a third Czech was injured. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic reported the deaths and the injury on 2 October 2026.[1][2]
Announcement by the ministry
The ministry's spokesman Adam Čörgő told the media that the case is being handled by the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles, whose territorial jurisdiction includes Wyoming.[1] Čörgő said that the consulate "is providing intensive consular assistance to the families of the deceased and to the injured citizen and is in contact with the local police and other authorities".[1][3] According to its own statement, the ministry also expressed sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased.[1][2]
Details of the accident
The ministry has not disclosed further circumstances of the accident or the identity of those involved.[3]
