The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles is a diplomatic mission that provides consular services to Czech citizens living or travelling in the western states of the United States of America. Its territorial jurisdiction includes, among others, the US state of Wyoming.[1]*
Role in emergencies
The consulate assists Czech citizens and their families in the event of emergencies occurring in its area of jurisdiction, and in such situations it is in contact with local authorities and police.[1][3]
Traffic accident in Wyoming in October 2026
On 2 October 2026 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic announced, through its spokesman Adam Čörgő, that two Czech citizens had died and another Czech had been injured in a traffic accident in the US state of Wyoming.[1][2] The ministry gave no further details about the accident itself or the identity of the victims.[3]
In this connection the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles provided intensive consular assistance to the families of the deceased and to the injured citizen, and was in contact with local police and other authorities.[1][3] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.[1][2][3]
