Senator and Přísaha movement chairman Róbert Šlachta announced in the programme Nedělní debata on Czech Television that he is considering moving, after two years, from the caucus of the ANO movement to another group. As reasons he cited doubts about the work of the ministers of the governing coalition and the ANO campaign against him in South Moravia, specifically in the Znojmo area. According to the Czech News Agency, he was only general about it. He said that he is negotiating with other caucuses and did not want to specify which.[1][2]

By his own account, the ANO campaign angered him greatly. Seznam Zprávy add that, according to Šlachta, the decision might have been made as early as Sunday evening, when he was to lead a meeting.[1][2]

It is connected with the Senate elections in the Znojmo area, where in the second round Tomáš Třetina (TOP 09) defeated Jiří Kyněra (ANO). The Přísaha candidate Pavel Černý received 5.04 percent of the vote in the first round and did not advance. According to Deník N, as cited by the Czech News Agency and Seznam Zprávy, he then offered his support to Kyněra for CZK 50,000; Kyněra refused and Černý supported Třetina. Černý claimed that the money was to cover work on videos. Šlachta did not want to comment on this. The chair of the ANO senators, Jana Mračková Vildumetzová, called Černý's conduct unacceptable.[1][2]

Mračková Vildumetzová confirmed that she knows of the intention from Šlachta and that he has not decided at this moment whether he will stay in the caucus. If he left, the ANO caucus, which lost one member before the elections, would shrink to 13 members. Šlachta became a senator for the Břeclav district in September 2024. According to his words at the time, he joined the ANO caucus because outside a caucus he would have fewer opportunities to advance his programme.[1][2]
