Pavel Černý ran for the Přísaha movement in the 2026 Senate elections in the Znojmo area. In the first round he received 5.04 percent of the vote and finished last among six candidates, so he did not advance to the second round.[2][1]

Support for candidates in the second round

According to Deník N, after the first round Černý negotiated with the Znojmo ANO movement about supporting its candidate Jiří Kyněra before the second round, and demanded a financial reward for it. The reported sum is 50 thousand crowns.[2][3][4] According to Novinky.cz, Deník N said it had communication between Černý and Stanislav Palša, the leader of Znojmo ANO in the municipal elections, in which Černý made his support for Kyněra conditional on "really very motivating compensation". [5] Černý confirmed to journalists that he wanted the money, as payment for the work involved in filming and editing videos.[1][4] By his own account, Kyněra rejected the offer because of the demand for money.[1][3]

Before the second round Černý finally backed the incumbent senator Tomáš Třetina of TOP 09. He said he received nothing for it, and Třetina confirmed that they had agreed on no reward.[1][3] Černý said he had originally wanted to support Třetina from the start, because he was closer to him and had experience from the Senate. [5]

In the first round Třetina won with 35.55 percent of the vote ahead of Kyněra with 22.28 percent, and voter turnout was 45.07 percent. [3]
