Plan for a military course in the Karlovy Vary Region
On 3 October 2026 she presented, in Karlovy Vary together with Defence Minister Jaromír Zůna, a plan for a pilot course called Protection of the Population. A military department in the Karlovy Vary Region is to teach it in cooperation with the Czech Technical University in Prague. The course is intended for future reserve officers, lasts three semesters and runs in parallel with bachelor's studies.[1][2]
Mračková Vildumetzová said the project could be the basis for further cooperation with the University of Defence and for expanding higher education in the region. According to her, it has not yet been decided where the teaching would take place; a school building on the Nábřeží Jana Palacha in Karlovy Vary or the Karlovarské inovační centrum next to the regional office are under consideration.[1][2]
