Mikuláš Minář is one of the founders of the association Million Moments for Democracy, which was formed after the 2017 parliamentary elections and organised demonstrations, including the largest one, held in June 2019 on Letná in Prague.[1] He stepped down as chairman of the association in autumn 2020 and was succeeded by another co-founder, Benjamin Roll. He then founded the movement Lidé PRO, which decided in March 2021 not to run in the parliamentary elections and to support other democratic parties.[1]
After five years he returned to the head of the association, which elected him chairman in place of Lukáš Hilpert. He said that he wants to defend the Czech Republic against the path taken by Hungary or Slovakia. For 17 November the association announced a rally on Old Town Square in Prague.[1]
At the association's demonstration on Old Town Square on 28 September 2025, Minář called on participants to work for Andrej Babiš winning as few seats as possible, and pointed to the importance of every single seat.[2]
