Michaela Šebelová is a Czech politician for STAN and a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.[1][2]
Public positions
In the Czech Television programme Události, komentáře, Šebelová commented on the proposal to freeze the salaries of top politicians for five years, which the chamber supported in the first reading. The STAN caucus, together with ODS, KDU-ČSL and TOP 09, blocked its approval already in the first reading. According to Šebelová, the real problem is above all the level of parliamentary allowances, and she therefore wants to submit in the second reading an amendment that would cut travel allowances by 40 percent.[1]
In October 2026 she also criticised the decision of President Petr Pavel to go on a private trip abroad during the municipal elections. She called it a mistake and a bad signal for voters.[2][3]
