In the local elections in Olomouc on 10 October 2026, the ANO movement led according to interim results, with the Mayors and Independents movement in second place, having gained ground.[1]
Mayor and ANO list leader Miroslava Ferancová said the movement had wanted to defend its number of mandates and that low turnout had shown in its result. She expected the coalition talks to be difficult and to last a long time. According to her, talks were to begin on the evening after the election.[1] The Mayors and Independents list leader Marek Zelenka praised the interim results and said the movement would like to negotiate with several parties.[1]
Radim Kašpar, director of the District Chamber of Commerce, expected that eight electoral groups would probably sit in the Olomouc council.[1]
