In the municipal elections in České Budějovice, according to results published on 10 October 2026, the most votes went to the Naše Česko movement, founded by the South Bohemian governor Martin Kuba, with more than 29 percent. According to Seznam Zprávy, it was followed by Starostové, who ran together with Občané pro Budějovice, with more than 17 percent, and the ANO movement with more than 16 percent. The Czech Pirate Party, in alliance with the Budějčáci grouping and with the support of the Greens, won over 11 percent, ODS just under eight percent and the joint list of KDU-ČSL and TOP 09 just under seven percent.[1]
According to Seznam Zprávy, most of the councillors elected in the previous term for ODS moved to the newly formed Naše Česko movement. Candidates on the lists also included the former chairman of the KSČM Vojtěch Filip for the Pro Budějce coalition and the former governor Jan Zahradník for Naše Česko.[1]
Mayor Dagmar Škodová Parmová, who according to Seznam Zprávy could defend her post, described the result as expected. According to her, the result of ANO surprised her; at the previous elections it had almost 25 percent. She also said that she expects SPD not to be in the council. Of a possible coalition, she said it should be as compatible as possible with the programme of the movement, and she did not rule out talks with ODS.[1][2]
If re-elected, Škodová Parmová wants to continue the reconstruction of the Háječek cinema, which is to become a multifunctional complex, and the construction of a parking garage in the Máj housing estate.[2]
