The Jedno Ústí coalition won 22 of 37 seats in Ústí nad Labem in the 2026 municipal elections and wants to govern without further partners; Tomáš Vohryzka is to become mayor.

The Jedno Ústí coalition, which won the 2026 municipal elections in Ústí nad Labem, will form the leadership of the statutory city without further coalition partners. The leader of its candidate list, Tomáš Vohryzka, an independent and until now director of the city services, is to become the new mayor. He announced this to journalists on 14 October 2026.[1][2]
Before the elections Jedno Ústí united seven local parties and movements (PRO!Ústí, the Czech Pirate Party, the Greens, STAN, TOP 09, UFO and Naše Česko) and dozens of non-party members. In the 37-member city assembly it holds 22 seats, a majority. The ANO movement, which led the city for eight years, goes into opposition, where ODS, the coalition of SPD and Motoristé supported by Přísaha and Trikolóra, and the Vaše Ústí group supported by Za lepší Střekov will also sit. The number of ANO councillors fell from 13 to six.[1][2]
The city board will remain nine-member, and two of the three deputy mayors will work full time. Karolína Žákovská is to become first deputy mayor, responsible for education and the environment. The other full-time deputy mayors will be Petr Křivan (sport and sports infrastructure) and Zdenka Černá (social affairs). The full-time board members will be Jan Beneš and Vladimír Kozák, the part-time ones Pavel Vlach, Jan Hrouda and Jan Kvasnička.[1][2]
Lukáš Pokorný of Jedno Ústí is to chair the finance committee, while the coalition will offer the chair of the audit committee to the ANO movement as the second-strongest party. Jedno Ústí also won in three of the four city districts, in the city centre, on Severní Terasa and in Střekov; in Neštěmice it finished second behind the Vaše Ústí group. The coalition wants to improve communication with the public through the Munipolis app and local committees. Vohryzka said he does not want any personnel purges. Milan Stýblo is to represent him at the city services for the duration of his term as mayor.[1][2]
The inaugural meeting of the new assembly is to take place by 6 November 2026 at the latest, unless the election results are challenged in court after the official announcement.[1][2]
