The 2025 election to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic is the election to the lower house of the Czech parliament, held in autumn 2025.

The election to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic was held in autumn 2025. The chamber has 200 deputies, who are elected for a four-year term.[1]

Election rules

According to information from the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, elections to both houses of parliament are held on the basis of universal, equal and direct suffrage by secret ballot. A citizen of the Czech Republic who is over 18, is legally competent and whose liberty is not restricted for reasons of protecting public health may vote. Citizens who are at least 21 have the right to be elected. For elections to the lower house, the Constitution lays down a system of proportional representation.[1]

The election is called by the President of the Republic no later than ninety days before it takes place, and the decision is published in the Collection of Laws. It is always held over two days, on Friday and Saturday. Voting takes place in permanent electoral districts. Citizens who are abroad on election day may vote at diplomatic missions or by post. The details are regulated by Act No. 247/1995 Coll., on Elections to the Parliament of the Czech Republic.[1]

Voters are entered in a permanent register kept by the municipal office according to place of permanent residence. Each voter may be entered in only one register and has the right to check their entry and to request that it be supplemented or corrected. The office must comply with the request within 48 hours or state in writing the reasons why this is not possible. The register is closed two days before the election.[1]

Political entities and campaign financing

The Úřad pro dohled nad hospodařením politických stran a politických hnutí publishes on a dedicated page data on the election to the lower house held in autumn 2025. It lists the parties, movements, coalitions and independent candidates that took part in the election and, for each, a campaign financing report, if it submitted one. The listed entities include, for example, ANO 2011, Balbínova poetická strana and the Czech Pirate Party.[2]
