Jan Švejnar is a Czech economist to whom the President of the Senate, Miloš Vystrčil, presented a silver commemorative medal on 28 September 2026.

Jan Švejnar is a Czech economist. On 28 September 2026 the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Miloš Vystrčil (ODS), presented him with a silver commemorative medal. The silver medals of the President of the Senate are awarded on the feast day of Saint Wenceslas to personalities who have excelled in their field or contributed to the good reputation of Czechia abroad. In 2026 Vystrčil awarded them to seventeen personalities, whom he chose from more than a hundred nominations.[1][2]
