Building permits in 2027: hybrid model and developers' decision whether to start proceedings this year
According to the law firm Doucha Šikola advokáti, the change in building permitting will move thousands of officials and may at first cause confusion and delays. A hybrid model is to operate in 2027: ordinary buildings will still be permitted by the current building offices, while designated buildings fall under the new rules. Full integration of most agendas of the authorities concerned for other buildings will come later. The firm says developers must therefore weigh in the coming weeks whether to start proceedings this year or wait for the new rules.

The Ředitelství silnic a dálnic (Road and Motorway Directorate) is preparing a new exit from the D48 motorway to the industrial zone in Nošovice. The project, meant to divert mainly the freight traffic supplying the car plant and other companies, could start in 2028. ŘSD spokesman Miroslav Mazal said a building permit and a tender for the contractor are expected next year and that the estimated cost exceeds CZK 290 million. The exit is to connect to the motorway from both sides; during work on the overpass, traffic is to be routed into one lane in each direction.
