The Prague Stock Exchange (Burza cenných papírů Praha, BCPP) is the Prague securities exchange, whose chief executive is Petr Koblic.[1][2] The exchange includes the Start market, which is intended for emerging small and medium-sized Czech companies and offers them, under simplified conditions, the opportunity to raise capital directly from investors.[2][3] According to Seznam Zprávy, it is the part of the exchange intended mainly for smaller and medium-sized companies, whose listing rules are in some respects simpler than on the main markets.[3]
The Start market
Koblic said of the Start market that its purpose is to offer domestic growth companies the opportunity to raise capital from investors and gradually build up experience of operating on a public market.[1][2]
Share offering by Doornite
In a press release of 5 October 2026 the Prague Stock Exchange announced that Doornite, a door and door-frame manufacturer from Jihlava, had launched a public offering of shares on entering the Start market. The price range is 400 to 500 koruna per share, and investors can submit bids until 19 October 2026.[1][2] According to Seznam Zprávy, the company expects its shares to be admitted to the Start market around 23 October 2026. The offering prospectus was approved by the Czech National Bank, whose approval, according to Seznam Zprávy, does not constitute an investment recommendation.[3]
