Pavel Novotný is the former mayor of Prague-Řeporyje for the ODS. He held the office from 2018 to 2025, when he resigned after being sentenced to three months in prison and suspended his ODS membership. [1] He was convicted of disorderly conduct, incitement to a criminal offence and dangerous stalking of a businessman. The court turned his suspended sentence into an unconditional one because he repeatedly committed offences during the probation period, and he entered prison in July 2025. [1] In the municipal elections in October 2026 he led the ODS list. [3] He had rejoined the ODS in April 2026. [1] According to Novinky.cz, the local ODS organisation had to vote to end the suspension of his membership. [3] He did not, however, defend his 2022 victory. [1] The ODS won 30.61 per cent of the vote and finished second behind Přívětivé Řeporyje with 44.62 per cent; in 2022 the ODS had 37.1 per cent. [1]

Voters elected him to the Řeporyje council, but he will no longer be mayor. [2] After his resignation he was succeeded as mayor by the then deputy mayor David Roznětinský (TOP 09). Novotný at first kept his council seat, but Prague City Hall later annulled it because of the final conviction for an intentional crime, and a lawsuit against that decision failed. [1] In the new council Přívětivé Řeporyje has seven seats, the ODS five, TOP 09 two and ANO one. [4]

Martin Palkovský, the leader of the Přívětivé Řeporyje list, said before the election that the grouping, backed by KDU-ČSL, the Czech Pirate Party and STAN, has a different idea of political culture and of the quality of the town hall's work than the current coalition. [3]
