Pavel Šulc is a Czech footballer and international who plays in the French league.

Pavel Šulc is a Czech international footballer who plays in the French league. Seznam Zprávy names him the best footballer of 2025 [1].

In the second-round Nations League Group A3 match against England in Prague on 29 September 2026, Šulc was sent off in the first half hour [1][2]. The referee initially showed a yellow card, which he changed to a red after a review [2]. According to the British paper Daily Mail, Šulc was sent off for a late challenge on the England player Elliot Anderson. [5] According to England manager Thomas Tuchel, the sending-off strongly influenced the course of the match, as the opponent played about 70 minutes with ten men. [4] After the change of ends England took advantage of the extra man, and Anthony Gordon and captain Harry Kane scored. [4] Šulc was sent off in the 25th minute. [4] The Czech Republic lost 0:2 [3]. The national team captain Ladislav Krejčí said after the match that the team had kept its identity even when a man down [3].
