The Prague Public Transit Company announced a tender on 2 October 2026 for the construction of the Libuš station on Line D. The estimated value of the contract is approximately CZK 3.76 billion excluding VAT, and the station is expected to be completed by 2032[1][2]. Construction of Line D began in 2022 with the section between Pankrác and Ryšánka, and in 2026 the company, with a delay of more than two years, began the section from Ryšánka to Nové Dvory, including tunnels as far as Písnice. [1] The Libuš station is to be a cut-and-cover station with an island platform and two vestibules; the southern vestibule will be built near the Libuš tram stops and will be connected by an underpass beneath Novodvorská Street. [2] According to Prague Public Transit Company spokesman Daniel Šabík, construction of the station is expected to take 54 months from the handover of the construction site, and the company recently obtained a building permit for it.
