Ivan Bednárik is the Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic.[1][2]
The Ministry of Transport under his leadership announced on 6 October 2026 the selection of the ViaAlliance35 consortium in the tender for completing the section of the D35 motorway between Opatovec and Mohelnice as a PPP project. Bednárik called the selection a "crucial step toward the completion of the D35".[1]
On the purchase of trains for regional lines, he said that it is not the role of the state to recommend or mandate joint purchases to the regions. In his view, the decision belongs to regional representatives.[2]
