The D35 motorway: its Sadová–Plotiště section near Hradec Králové is being completed in 2026.

In the Sadová–Plotiště section in the Hradec Králové area, the D35 motorway replaces the two-lane road I/35, which according to Deník is inadequate in capacity; over 15,000 vehicles use it daily. Construction began in 2024, and the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic wants to open the new four-lane section in December 2026.[1]
State of construction in autumn 2026
A section of about one kilometre near the Plotiště grade-separated interchange, where the route crosses the D11, was temporarily opened on 9 June 2026. Since 28 September 2026 traffic has run over a new overpass, and the Road and Motorway Directorate said this allows work to continue on connecting the section to the Plotiště interchange. On the same day, the turning ramp from the D11 towards Jičín was closed, and drivers had to use the roundabout temporarily, which could cause queues.[1]
According to the road builders, work is concentrated on noise barriers and laying road surface layers between the Sadová interchange and the overpass at Dlouhé Dvory, and on the connections to the Sadová and Plotiště interchanges.[1]
