On 3 October 2026 water flooded the fourth basement level of Motol University Hospital in Prague, where the clothing of patients after radiological treatment is stored. This was reported by Prague fire brigade spokesman Vojtěch Rotschedl.[1][2]
The firefighters' first measurement showed a normal level of radiation. A chemical laboratory from Kamenice was also heading to the site. Clothing intended for disposal is kept in the storeroom in plastic bags. According to Rotschedl, the water in the storeroom stood about two centimetres high, and he said the flooding was caused by the opening of hydrants.[1][3]
