Správa železnic stated that the first two platforms have been completed at the Praha-Smíchov station under reconstruction; the whole station is to be in operation in summer 2028.

Správa železnic announced that the first two platforms have been completed at the Praha-Smíchov station under reconstruction. They lie beneath the planned bus terminal. One is the original, the other entirely new, and according to a spokeswoman for Správa železnic it will serve mainly trains running on the Prague Semmering line to Zličín and Hostivice. Passengers will reach them through a reconstructed underpass.[1]
State of construction
Some load-bearing columns of the future footbridge are also finished; once completed, it is to connect Smíchov, Radlice and the boarding platforms without barriers. Stairs, escalators and lifts will lead to the platforms. Construction of the technology building continues in parallel. New bridge structures for the planned three tracks over Nádražní Street are in place, while over the Hořejší nábřeží embankment trains use a temporary steel bridge.[1]
The foundations of the bus terminal, which is an investment of the Capital City of Prague, are also being built ahead of schedule. According to the spokeswoman, the two investors agreed on a procedure intended to affect rail operation as little as possible.[1]
Deadlines and costs
Full commissioning of the station is planned for summer 2028, and the reconstruction is to cost 4 billion koruna. According to the current schedule, it is to be followed in 2029 to 2031 by renovation of the station building, including the historic central part from the 1950s and the departure hall.[1]
