Miloš Rejchrt is an Evangelical pastor and former dissident.[1]

He spoke at a demonstration of the association Million Moments for Democracy in Old Town Square in Prague, where, according to iDNES.cz, he made three appeals. One of the appeals concerned the truth, which, in Rejchrt’s view, people should grant to themselves and to others. [1] Among other things, he said: “Czech Radio and Czech Television must remain independent of those who happen to be in power.” In his view, civil society has both the right and the duty to oversee the government. According to Rejchrt, every power is threatened by corruption, demagoguery and self-praise. [1] He said the association Million Moments for Democracy reminds him of Charter 77.[1]

He also recalled that Charter 77, too, had been said to be pointless and unable to achieve anything. [1] Also on the stage with him were the singer-songwriter Jaroslav Hutka and Tomáš Kopečný, the former government commissioner for the reconstruction of Ukraine. [1]
