Milan Volf is the mayor of Kladno and leader of the Volby pro Kladno (VPK) group.[2] After the 2026 municipal elections, he told journalists on 19 October 2026 that Kladno would be run by a coalition of VPK, ANO and ODS and that he himself was to remain at the head of the city.[1]
Volby pro Kladno won 11 seats in the city council, the Kladeňáci group ten, ANO and ODS five each and Unie pro Sport a zdraví two.[1] The existing coalition of VPK and ANO was expanded to include ODS, and according to Novinky.cz the coalition agreement has been signed. Together they hold 21 of 33 seats.[1][2] Volby pro Kladno are to have five members on the city board, ANO and ODS three each.[1] The deputy mayors are to be Přemysl Mužík (VPK), František Bureš (ANO) and Leoš Stránský (ODS).[1]
The Kladeňáci group is filing a complaint about the election results because of a significant discrepancy in at least one polling district. Any additional seat for Kladeňáci would not deprive the new coalition of its majority.[1][2][4] According to Volf, the inaugural council meeting will take place only after this complaint is resolved.[2]
Among the new coalition's priorities, Volf named the reconstruction of the Sítenský most, continued repairs of the football stadium, preparation of a new sports hall and a new animal shelter, as well as traffic and parking in the city.[1][3] On sports facilities he said: "Today we have a shortage of sports facilities."[3]
