Martin Šubert is a Czech footballer, a twenty-four-year-old winger and midfielder of Mladá Boleslav. He is a product of the Prague club Slavia's youth system.[1][2]
Club career
Last season he played in the second division for the reserve team of Baník Ostrava; at the start of the season coach Aleš Majer brought him to Mladá Boleslav. Šubert had previously worked with Majer at Vlašim in the second division.[1][2] At the beginning of October 2026 he was the top scorer of the Czech league with six goals, and Mladá Boleslav was third in the table.[1]
National team
He was nominated for the Czech national team at a later stage, after injured players withdrew. He made his debut as a substitute on Saturday 26 September 2026 in a 1:2 home defeat to Croatia in the Nations League, and called it the biggest match of his career so far.[1][3] The national team coach Santi Denia is Spanish, and Šubert said that the team's style of play is similar to the one he plays at his club.[1][3]
