With three quarters of polling districts counted, the coalition of the Hradec Democratic Club and TOP 09 led the election to the council of Hradec Králové on 10 October 2026, followed by the ANO movement. In the 37-member council the coalition would, on interim figures, win 11 seats and ANO one fewer.[1]

In third place on the interim count was the coalition of the Czech Pirate Party and Mayors with 6 seats, followed by ODS with 4 seats, an association of KDU-ČSL members, the Greens and Change for Hradec with 3 seats, and the association Our Hradec with 3 seats.[1]

In the 2022 local elections ANO won with 24.52 percent of the votes, the Hradec Democratic Club and TOP 09 received 13.67 percent and ODS 10.27 percent. In November 2022 the councillors elected Pavlína Springerová (HDK) as mayor, the first woman at the head of the city. The five-party coalition had 21 seats; in May 2023 four of its members terminated the agreement over a demand for the departure of Jan Holásek, leader of the movement We Develop Hradec, and the remaining parties continued in a narrower coalition.[1]
