On the construction of the D35 motorway between Sadová and Plotiště in the Hradec Králové Region, the Road and Motorway Directorate has moved traffic from a temporarily opened motorway carriageway onto a new overpass. According to Deník, drivers have been using the overpass since Monday 28 September 2026. The switch makes it possible to continue work on connecting the section to the Plotiště interchange.[1]

The Directorate states that on Monday the exit ramp from the D11 motorway towards Jičín was closed. Traffic runs through the Plotiště junction along the relocated section of the existing I/35 road and over the new overpass. The direct link from I/35 to the D11 motorway along a separate ramp is closed, and drivers must temporarily pass through a roundabout, where queues may form.[1]

The roughly one-kilometre stretch of motorway near the Plotiště interchange was temporarily opened on 9 June 2026. Construction of the Sadová–Plotiště section began in 2024. The new four-lane motorway is to replace the two-lane I/35 road, which carries more than 15,000 vehicles a day. According to the road builders, noise barriers are being assembled and road surface layers are being laid. The new section is to open in December 2026.[1]
