Reading to Children Week 2026
On 1 October 2026 she took part, together with the singer Ewa Farna, in the ceremonial opening of the 16th edition of Reading to Children Week at the Divadlo loutek Ostrava puppet theatre. The event also marked 20 years of the non-profit organisation Celé Česko čte dětem.[1][2] According to reports, Mornštajnová is a popular author; one of her favourite books is Karel Poláček's novel Bylo nás pět (There Were Five of Us), from whose stage adaptation by the Těšínské divadlo her daughter dedicated an excerpt to her.[2] At this meeting the author's daughter said that her mother had read to her at home long before she began writing her first books. [3]
The puppet performance by the Bajka stage of the Těšínské divadlo, based on Poláček's work, lasted about half an hour. [2]
