On the morning of 20 October 2026, a long-distance bus did not fit under the railway bridge in Jandova street in Prague 9, near Vysočanská metro station, and remained wedged under it. Police received the report shortly after seven o'clock. According to Novinky.cz, 50 children were travelling on the bus and nobody was injured.

Firefighters freed the bus at around 9:30 after letting air out of the tyres and using a winch. According to the firefighters, the bridge remained undamaged. Martin Kavka, spokesman of Správa železnic, said that railway traffic had not been restricted.

Police directed traffic at the site in alternating flow, and queues formed. Traffic police were establishing the causes and circumstances of the accident. According to Blesk, there is a sign on the bridge prohibiting vehicles higher than 3.3 metres, which the driver apparently overlooked.
