Tomáš Masaryk was a president of Czechoslovakia whose seat was Prague Castle.

Tomáš Masaryk was a president of Czechoslovakia. Český rozhlas (Czech Radio) describes him as a symbol of the First Republic.
After the republic was founded, Prague Castle became the seat of the first president of Czechoslovakia. In 1920 the architect Jan Kotěra was commissioned to convert the ministry offices in the Nový královský palác into a presidential residence. In 1921 Masaryk cancelled this commission and brought in Josip Plečnik. In January 1922 he approved Plečnik's design.
According to copies of documents from the archive of the Office of the President of the Republic, Masaryk was honorary chairman of the Námořní společnost československá, was among its founders and supported it with 100,000 crowns. [3]
