Taťána Kuchařová is a Czech model and a member of the Government Council for Human Rights. In 2006 she won the Miss ČR contest and in Warsaw became the first Czech woman to win the Miss World title.[1]
Career and foundation
After her win she worked in modelling and advertising, took acting courses and appeared in television programmes, in a film and in a series. In 2013 she finished second in the dance competition StarDance.[1] In 2008 she founded the Taťána Kuchařová Krása pomoci foundation, which helps seniors. In 2015 she presented its activities at the UN in New York, and in 2017 she was a member of the Czech delegation to the Forum on Sustainable Development under the auspices of ECOSOC.[1]
Government Council for Human Rights
In September 2026 the government added seven members to the Government Council for Human Rights, among them Kuchařová, Hnutí pro život lawyer Jakub Kříž and Daniel Black. Human rights organisations, among them Amnesty International, the Jsme fér initiative, Prague Pride, Trans*parent and the Czech Women's Lobby, called on Prime Minister Andrej Babiš to rescind the appointment of these three members. They justified this by their previous public activity in relation to the rights of minorities and women.[2]
The council met in its reconstituted composition for the first time on Wednesday 30 September 2026, and Kuchařová was among those present. According to Seznam Zprávy, the new statutes stipulate that the prime minister chairs all six government human rights councils directly.[3]
