Tomáš Tichý is to become the new director of the state enterprise NAKIT, and the government committee for personnel nominations is to discuss his appointment.

Tomáš Tichý, who succeeded in a selection procedure, is to become the new director of the state enterprise Národní agentura pro komunikační a informační technologie (NAKIT). According to Ekonomický deník, the Ministry of the Interior announced the intention.[3] His appointment still has to be discussed by the government committee for personnel nominations, which, according to Lupa.cz, is to meet on 13 October 2026.[1]
NAKIT stated that Tichý is an experienced manager in information technology and the digitalisation of public administration. Since 2020 he worked at the state enterprise CENDIS as ICT director and deputy director of the enterprise.[1][2] According to NAKIT, he wants to use in the post his experience of building a technology organisation and of large digitalisation projects.[2]
Lukáš Klučka, the Government Commissioner for Digitalisation and Strategic Security and First Deputy Minister of the Interior, said that the selection procedure was demanding and that many qualified candidates had applied. In his words, Tichý will bring expertise, experience and a fresh perspective to the organisation.[1][2]
According to Ekonomický deník, the government dismissed Jan Ďoubal, who had headed the agency since March 2023, in March 2026.[3] NAKIT was established in 2016 as a service organisation of the Ministry of the Interior and provides information and communication technology services through more than 40 regional offices.[2]
