The second round of the Senate elections on 16 and 17 October 2026 decided 22 of the 27 Senate seats up for renewal.

The second round of voting in the renewal of one third of the Senate of the Czech Republic took place on Friday 16 October 2026, when polling stations were open until 22:00, and on Saturday 17 October from 8:00 to 14:00. Voters decided on 22 senators from twice that number of finalists.[1][2]
Five more senators had already been chosen in the first round a week earlier, so there was no repeat vote in the Rychnov, Trutnov, Strakonice, Vyškov and Děčín areas. Municipal elections were held at the same time as the first round.[1][2]
Turnout on Friday
The Czech News Agency (ČTK) learned from election commissions and local authorities that turnout on Friday was most often between ten and 15 percent and was considerably lower than a week earlier. In Prague it ranged from ten to 14 percent after 8 p.m., the highest in Prague 13 at 14.2 percent and the lowest in Prague 14 at 9.99 percent. In the Kladno constituency it was 11.1 percent, in Příbram 12.8 percent and in Kolín 15.5 percent. In Hradec Králové it reached roughly 14 percent before 8 p.m., and in Zlín 11.06 percent at 8:15 p.m., compared with 26.7 percent in the first round.[1]
In the Moravian-Silesian Region turnout was below ten percent an hour before the polling stations closed. In the Česká Lípa constituency, where Jitka Volfová (ANO) faced the governor of the Liberec Region, Martin Půta (SLK), it was between 13 and 18 percent at around 8 p.m. Six years earlier, in 2020, 11.4 percent of voters came to the second round, and according to ČTK this year's turnout may be higher.[1]
On Saturday 17 October the polling stations opened at 8:00, and voting was possible until 14:00.[2]
