On 15 October 2026, four groupings in Český Krumlov announced after initial post-election talks that they are closest to one another. They are Vize pro Krumlov, Koalice Český Krumlov, KDU-ČSL and Nezávislí a Zelení. Together they hold 12 of the 23 seats on the council. According to Budějcká Drbna, the winning ANO and Naše Česko would thus apparently end up in opposition.[1]

Election result

ANO and Vize pro Krumlov won five seats each. Naše Česko, which was led by the governor of the South Bohemian Region, Martin Kuba, and Koalice Český Krumlov have three councillors each. Občané patrioti, KDU-ČSL and Nezávislí won two seats each, and Český Krumlov rozumem a srdcem won one.[1]

Statements

Naděžda Perníková, the leading candidate of Vize pro Krumlov, said in a press release that the groupings are closest to one another in both programme and personal terms and have agreed on further joint steps. Mayor Alexandr Nogrády (ANO) approached the successful parties after the election with an offer of a broad coalition. Perníková said that Vize and ANO agree on the main priorities, but their ideas about how to implement them differ so much that they cannot imagine a joint coalition.[1]
