Philip Morris ČR is a Czech company of the Philip Morris group. The chairman of the board and chief executive is Fabio Costa.[1]

Since 2022 the company has run a programme in Czechia and Slovakia for collecting used tobacco and nicotine refills. In Czechia people can return them at about 150 company-owned and partner outlets, that is, in the IQOS network. Participation is voluntary and consumers receive no reward for returned refills.[1]

Since the beginning of 2026, people in Czechia have returned an average of 1.4 tonnes of refills per month, which corresponds to roughly two million pieces. According to Karolína Nováková of the company, consumers returned in 2025 approximately a tenth of the refills sold at those company outlets that have collection points.[1]

The refills are obtained from the company by Reneso, which processes them into fibres for asphalt mixes. The line in Hořín near Mělník was put into operation on 22 October 2026 by Reneso ČR and Philip Morris ČR.[1][2]
