Petr Sadovský is a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic for the ANO movement.[2] He is 57 years old and, besides his seat in the Chamber, serves as a regional councillor and a member of the town council of Dobruška. [4]

In the 2026 Senate elections he ran in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou district. His election to the Senate would end his seat in the Chamber of Deputies, since the two offices cannot be held at the same time. [4] The Senate district is numbered 48 and consists of the whole of Rychnov nad Kněžnou District, the eastern part of Pardubice District, the north-western part of Ústí nad Orlicí District and the eastern part of Hradec Králové District. [4] He had a single opponent, the incumbent senator Jan Grulich (TOP 09). The parties of the current opposition in the Chamber of Deputies did not field their own candidate and backed Grulich.[1][2] Besides TOP 09, Grulich's candidacy was supported by ODS, KDU-ČSL, STAN, the Czech Pirate Party and LES. [4] According to Novinky.cz, Grulich defended his seat already in the first round.[3] Grulich won over 62 percent of the votes and turnout exceeded 45 percent. [4] With roughly 45 percent of the polling districts counted, Sadovský had 39 percent of the votes.[1]
