The regional court in Ústí nad Labem will deal with petitions to review this year's municipal elections in Moldava in the Ore Mountains and in Habrovany in the Ústí district. This follows from information published on the court's official notice board on 20 October 2026. Petitions can be submitted to the administrative courts until 23 October.[1][2]
Moldava
The petition for review was filed by the Sdružení nezávislých kandidátů 2026. The election in the municipality in the Teplice district was won by the grouping Moldava pro život of the current mayor David Leitermann, which won five seats in the nine-member assembly. SNK and Hlas obce have two seats each, with 248 valid votes for SNK and 175 for Hlas obce. The Green Party did not enter the assembly. Shortly before the vote, the mayor had 22 people removed from the electoral roll on the grounds that they do not live in the municipality. Several of them turned to the court, which ruled in two cases that they should be added back to the roll and rejected a further 17 petitions. In Moldava, after the election four years ago, the vote was repeated by court decision.[1][2]
Habrovany
The petition for review was filed by an unsuccessful candidate of the movement Nové Habrovany. The election in the municipality was won by the Sdružení nezávislých kandidátů pro Habrovany, which has four of the five assembly members.[1][2]
Other complaints
Earlier, complaints about the elections also came from Most, Chomutov and Kryry in the Louny district. In Most, the petition concerns the first substitute on the ticket of the winning grouping ProMOST; in Chomutov it was filed by the leader of the movement Máme rádi Chomutov, who has doubts about the votes counted in one polling district.[1][2]
